NeoRing Overview
The NeoRing is a dual-ring addressable LED PCB featuring 96 individually controllable RGB LEDs arranged in two concentric rings of 48 LEDs each.
Key Features
- 96 LEDs in dual concentric rings (48 inner + 48 outer)
- WS2812B-compatible (XL-1010RGBC-WS2812B) in a tiny 1.0×1.0 mm package
- 26 built-in effects via the RobotechPixel library
- Daisy-chainable — connect multiple boards via DOUT → DIN
- Arduino compatible — works with Arduino, ESP32, RP2040, and any 3.3–5V MCU
Board Layout
The NeoRing has two rings of LEDs:
| Ring | LEDs | Index Range |
|---|---|---|
| Inner Ring | 48 | 0–47 |
| Outer Ring | 48 | 48–95 |
Both rings wind counter-clockwise when viewed from the front. LED index 0 and LED index 48 are at the same angular position (12 o'clock), making ring-to-ring mapping straightforward.
